Cowboy Competes and Wins Gold at The Pearland U.S. Disc Dog Nationals Competition

PEARLAND, Texas (March 31, 2012)--After a lengthy disc dog off season, Team Cowboy competed at the Houston Canine Frisbee Disc Club (HCFDC) sponsored U.S. Disc Dog Nationals event in Pearland, Texas on March 31, 2012.  Cowboy placed 1st in the novice and pro toss and fetch events, and picked up a nice second place award in the open freestyle category.  Cowboy captured the silver in the pro toss and catch event at the USDDN last year, so he was glad to pick up the gold which marks his graduation to the big leagues.  Cowboy will now have to compete at the Super Pro and equivalent levels in future toss and fetch/catch events.  Cowboy was excited to get back out on the disc dog field in his first event of the season.  "I could tell that Cowboy was eager to get back to business after what seemed like an eternal off season and after we missed the Houston AWI and Quadraped," said Cowboy's teammate Marc.  As for Cowboy, he highly encouraged Marc to work a little harder on the team's freestyle routine before entering future competitions.  Cowboy was cheered on by Bandit who also enjoyed the day at the park in Pearland.
